A data-driven look at salmon and their habitats

The Pacific Salmon Explorer is the most comprehensive source of information on the status of Pacific salmon and their freshwater habitats across British Columbia, Canada. Drawing on the best available data, this tool presents indicators of salmon abundance, catch, and productivity, as well as habitat pressure and condition, for over 400 biologically diverse groups of wild salmon - known as Conservation Units - across eight major salmon-bearing Regions. Developed by the Pacific Salmon Foundation, with input from First Nations organizations, federal and provincial governments, and independent salmon experts, this tool provides information that is critical to supporting salmon conservation, management, and recovery efforts.
